What is Radon?

Radon is a colourless odorless radioactive gas produced in some soils by the decay of uranium.

Radon is estimated by *Health Canada to be the second leading cause of lung cancer after smoking.

Why do I need Radon Testing and Mitigation?

Radon can enter a basement through concrete cracks and exposed earth. Radon mitigation can be as simple as sealing cracks in a basement
floor and walls.

Radon testing is simple inexpensive to see if it is present in a basement. Testing the overall household exposure to Radon requires leaving meters there for some time.
